Clinx BioCounter colony counter will count? Clinx BioCounter colony counter uses a 1.4 Million to 5 Million pixel
CCD camera to capture an image of the sample. The smallest resolvable
element in a CCD camera is a pixel. With a calibration of
0.04mm to 0.09 mm.
FAQ 2: Can the Clinx BioCounter colony counter
be connected to a LIMS system? The Clinx BioCounter colony counter can be connected to a personal
computer, or similar system, using one of the two serial ports
contained on the Clinx GSC system. Four data formats are available to
every item of data stored for each plate.
FAQ 3:Can the Clinx BioCounter count colonies
on dark agar? The Clinx BioCounter colony counter is equipped with two light
sources, one below the sample in the base and one above the sample.
For samples which are opaque, the top lamp is used to illuminate the
top surface of the agar and reflected light enables the camera to
detect the colonies. FAQ 4:Will the Clinx BioCounter colony counter
transfer data into other software packages? The Clinx BioCounter colony counter has the ability to transfer data,
on request, directly into Microsoft Excel running on the Clinx GSC
system. Because of the varying nature of other packages, it isn¡¯t
possible to directly transfer data to them, but the Clinx GSC colony
counter can save the results to a text file. Each item of information
is stored separated by a comma and each plate result is contained on a
separate line in the file. This format is often referred to as a comma
separated values (CSV) format and can be imported into most software
packages. FAQ 5: Can the Clinx BioCounter perform
automatic zone analysis? Yes, With Clinx BioCounter you can rapidly perform: inhibition and
exhibition zone analysis applications, including antibiotic
susceptibility testing,vitamin potency and immunological zone
analysis. FAQ 6: How much do software upgrades cost? They are free, for as long as the user's Clinx BioCounter hardware and
operating system is compatible. FAQ 7:Can a comment be added to a batch and
displayed when it is selected? Yes, when a new batch is created a textual comment can be entered,
subsequently when the batch is selected the comment will be shown on
